How Carriers Are Selected

Inclusion criteria

  • Authorised or licensed by the relevant regulator (FCA, state DOI, OSFI / provincial regulator).
  • Product is currently available to new consumers.
  • Sufficient public product information for like-for-like evaluation.
  • Meets reasonable standards of financial stability and customer servicing.

Market coverage

We aim to feature a representative mix of large national carriers, established specialists and notable challenger brands so the comparison reflects the real choices available to a typical consumer. We do not claim to compare every provider in the market.

Every featured provider is evaluated against a consistent set of factors:

Sample prices come from publicly available rate sheets, quote tools and product disclosure documents at the time of last review. They represent illustrative starting premiums for a typical customer profile, not personalised quotes.
